I don't know about you, but for me summer is a time for reading. I love nothing more than to spend an hour or two in my garden submerged into the pages of an amazing book.
So with summer kind of nearly here I've rounded up a few books I want read - a few new releases along with some best sellers I'm surprised I've not read yet.

One Day by David Nicholls

How have I not read this book?! In fact it's even more confusing because I own two copies of it for some unknown reason. But anyway, this is the summer that I will finally sit down and read it. I won't bore you with the book description here as you will have either read it, watched the film or just know what it's about already. From flicking through the book and seeing that the story is told over 30 years and includes letters wrote back and forth between the two main characters I have a feeling I will enjoy reading this book.
The Marble Collector by Cecila Ahern

This is actually a fairly new release to paperback and a book I've just finished reading. The book as you may have guessed is about marbles but through the eyes of both a father and daughter, with one being set over a lifetime and the other just a day. This may have been why I sped through the book within a few days as I enjoyed how it was set out. There's nothing groundbreaking about this book but it's a perfect summer/holiday read that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Fingers in the Sparkle Jar by Chris Packham

Another new release here that's actually a non-fiction debut wrote by naturalist Chris Packham. This coming-of-age memoir tell of Chris' first relationships with animals, in particular a young kestrel called Tem and the struggles he went through when it died. The book is also about his late diagnosis of Asperger's Syndrome aged 34 and dealing with depression throughout his life. I may not be selling this book very well but this comes across as a tender story about life and it's struggles. I can't wait to read this one.
Paper Towns by John Green
3.85 Amazon here
Yes, another book I somehow haven't read even though I love John Green! This tells the story of two teenagers; Margo and Q... and that's about all I know! I've tried my best to avoid book reviews and even seeing the trailer to the film over the past few years as I don't like to spoil a book too much. With this being YA fiction and wrote by John Green I'm expecting emotion fuelled strong characters and a bit of a coming-of-age story.
Extra summer recommendations - Me Before You, The Rosie Project, Stolen, The Girl On The Train, Eleanor & Park, Luckiest Girl Alive, The Paying Guests, Into The Darkest Corner.
Hope you've found some inspiration here, whether you are off on a beach holiday and need a fun easy read or will be sunning yourself in the garden like myself.
Fee xo.
