NYX-soft-matte-lip-cream-reviews

If you're a fellow makeup lover then you will know the feeling of coming across a makeup range you love and wanting to buy up all the shades. And then you do... and it's euphoric! That's until, 2 months later you realise you're neglecting most of your purchases.

This so nearly happened to me with the NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream line, it was instant love and I was "ooo"ing at the thought of buying up quite a lot of the shades. But then I thought... what about a capsule collection, you know like how fashion bloggers and stylists go on about creating a capsule wardrobe of interchangeable pieces so nothing goes unloved and you don't over buy. This did require some restraint as NYX as known for their abundance of amazing shades but I figured for my capsule collection I required a nude, a bright, a pink and something deep-toned. Okay, so I may end up purchasing more nude shades down the line... I'm no saint and I'm new to this whole capsule business, but for now I'm amazingly happy with my four NYX Soft Matt Lip Creams.

As you can see my 4 key shades are all pigmented and creamy. This is what I love most about the range - good matte pigmentation that's super comfortable on the lips, I can truly forget I'm wearing anything with these lip creams. As for wear time they do fade when eating and drinking but leave a nice stain and are easy enough to quickly reapply. However I do often apply a dusting of translucent powder on the top to give a true matte finish which also extends wear time. I also love that they are lightly scented with vanilla!

My favourite most worn shade would have to be Abu Dhabi as I love my nude shades for everyday wear but Morocco is such a stunning vibrant colour that looks amazing on sunny days or to take on holiday. I also can't wait for autumn now to wear Copenhagen as it's such a deep striking shade (scary dark in the packaging, striking and vampy on!).

All 5.50 available from ASOS here or Boots here or in-store -  Abu Dhabi, Antwerp, Morocco and Copenhagen. 34 shades in total.

Super affordable, shades to suit every skin tone and just an amazing range if you ask me!

Fee xo.
