On looking at all three masks is was tricky to decide which one to go for - purifying, detoxing or glow. But in the end, I decided on the detox mask as I love nothing more than a deep cleansing mask that draws out all the grime and oil for my oily/combination skin. On trying out the mask a few times now I can say it was what I was looking for and more as it is a mask that dries on the face and really does soak up excess oil as you can see in the above image. It also leaves the skin feeling clean and fresh without feeling right once washed off. I've tried a number of clay masks from high street brands now and this really is the most detoxing for the skin. I've used Effaclar Duo for years now and always go back to it when my skin breaks out as it's effective yet gentle to the skin, so I'm very pleased with this pairing! This bronzing serum can be used to contour or add a glow to the entire face and by reflecting pigments (there is quite a bit of science behind it!) making the skin look flawless both in real life and in photographs plus overall more tanned but in the most natural looking way possible! I've tested this out of course and it's all true, in fact I got carried away and applied even more when I saw the amazing effects it had on my skin - seriously lit from within stuff that just makes you glow, as if you are carrying around the most flattering lighting with you wherever you go. The serum is ultra light in formula so it doesn't ever look like you are wearing anything over your foundation and for that reason you can full on glow if you like. I can imagine this looking amazing on no makeup days but also mixed with foundation for a dewy slightly bronzed glow to the skin. Side note - I do have pretty fair skin and due to the low opacity it was totally fine for me. My Evening Skincare Routine

To be honest with a good thick flannel (I love the Tesco Finest range) I believe most cream cleansers do the job, however for me the <b>Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser</b> (<a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Liz-Earle-Cleanse-Polish-Hot-Cloth-Cleanser-100ml-muslin-cloth-not-included_1546298/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">�14/100ml Boots</a>) is just right for my combination skin and contains quality ingredients -  works wonders with all skin types. My main aim here is to remove 95% of makeup and the excess cleanser from my face with the flannel. I also find a flannel keeps its heat compared to a muslin cloth and helps to open up the pores for a deeper cleanse. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b>Step 2. Cleanse, again </b></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">As I feel cleansing helps my skin so much I will always double cleanse (well I try to - I'm often lazy!) when I've had a day of wearing makeup. Double cleansing makes sure every last bit of makeup is gone and I really see the benefits through a brighter and blemish-free complexion. But really this is the bees knees is you have moderately oily skin that you want to balance out and cleanse without stripping the skin. This leaves my skin feeling perfectly soft and super clean, which is exactly what you want before bed. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b>Step 3. Exfoliate</b></span></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">As you've most likely noticed I totally skip using a moisturiser at night (sometimes I will use a serum if you skin is feeling dehydrated) because I feel most creams clog up my pores and can cause pesky blemishes. Instead I'm all about exfoliating the skin without using an abrasive scrub which is why I'm a huge fan of chemically exfoliators that contains Glycolic acid. You see my under eye area doesn't like any kind of moisturising cream and without a week of using most eye creams the skin in that area develops teeny tiny annoying spots that I so desperately want to squeeze! However I've found eye gels to be light and don't cause this problem... but then I think do I even need to be using a nightly eye cream/gel and is it even doing anything anyway?! My Morning Skincare Routine

But for the last year I'd had a solid skincare routine that I stick to and that really does work. If you have a similar skin type then I hope this post is helpful in giving you a few product recommendations. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><i> Step 1.</i> Wash Face </span></b></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> With or without oily skin washing your face in the morning with a face wash or soap is a must. I personally like to opt for something free of sulphates (SLS) as I find it a cheap ingredient that's not the best for skin. My face wash of choice is the <b>Ceramic Slip Cleanser by Sunday Riley</b> (<a href="https://www.cultbeauty.co.uk/sunday-riley-ceramic-slip-cleanser.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">�35 Cult Beauty</a>). This may be a pricey option at �35 for 125ml however I promise only one pump is needed so this does last 6-8 months. With the french green clay along with other quality ingredients this absorbs impurities in the skin and is ideal for oily/combination skintypes that want a non-striping face wash but also something that cleanses the skin well. I really can't see myself straying from this anytime soon. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><i>Step 2.</i> Apply Serum </span></b></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"> Serum is a step I'm still unsure I really need and if I'm applying a high SPF I do ditch this step because it's just another layer of product on my skin. However I generally apply serum as a topical treatment -<b> Jurlique Calendule Redness Rescue</b> (<a href="http://www.lookfantastic.com/jurlique-calendula-redness-rescue-restorative-serum-30ml/10922784.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">�45 Look Fantasti</a><a href="http://www.lookfantastic.com/jurlique-calendula-redness-rescue-restorative-serum-30ml/10922784.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">c</a>) to help with redness and <b>Pixi Hydrating Milky Serum</b> (<a href="http://www.lookfantastic.com/pixi-hydrating-milky-serum-30ml/11200046.html?utm_source=googleprod&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=gp_bodycare&affil=thggpsad&switchcurrency=GBP&shippingcountry=GB&gclid=CjwKEAjwrcC9BRC2v5rjyvSbhWASJACKkjDzMpIF2ymADTp_SSwK_3y7B4OQLCEaU_7R3_RKBi9iuxoCtDrw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds&dclid=CND2j_Glwc4CFbQT0wodq7wLhw" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">�26 Look Fantastic</a>) because it's the only product that instantly transforms my skin into something ultra soft (I always wake up the next day amazed at how my skin feels!). Both serums are light and ideal for oily skin however as serum isn't such a needed step in my option you can find many high street options (I love Botanics skincare) that do a good enough job. </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><i>Step 3.</i> Moisturise </span></b></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Another important step to create a perfect base for makeup is moisturiser, which can be tricky when you have oily blemish prone skin  - so many are just too heavy and sit on the skin. But I've finally found an ideal daily moisturiser for my skin with the <b>Elemental Herbology Balancing Facial Moisturiser</b> (<a href="http://www.spacenk.com/uk/en_GB/brands/e/elemental-herbology/perfect-balance-facial-moisturiser-MUK200002953.html" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">�42 Space NK</a>). The oil-free formula soaks into the skin instantly and helps regulate the skins balance so not to create more oil, it also helps repair sun damage which is a bonus. For more oily times of the month or when I'm experiencing blemishes I opt for <b>La Roche Posay's Effaclar Duo+ </b>(<a href="http://www.boots.com/en/La-Roche-Posay-Effaclar-Duo-40ml_1440758/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">�15.50 Boots</a>) which is clinically proven to reduce the appearance of blemishes and helps to clear blackheads so more blemishes don't appear - this is a true favourite of mine! </span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><br /></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: large;"><b><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;"><i>Step 4.</i> Apply an SPF </span></b></span></div><div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: Georgia,"Times New Roman",serif;">Once my skincare has fully soaked into my skin I always make sure to apply an SPF. Day-to-day I apply the<b> Kiko Solar Protect Serum SPF 15 </b>(<a href="http://www.kikocosmetics.com/en-gb/sun-protection/sun-protection-line/medium-protection/Solar-Protect-Serum-SPF-15/p-KS0220107900033" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">�11.50 Kiko</a>) as it's ultra light on the skin being a serum and gives medium protection. Thankfully this scrub has biodegradable micro beads though so it's not full on old fashioned and won't be harming the environment/sea. This freshly scented scrub is a product ideal to be used once or twice a week in the shower I feel as it's invigorating, gives a deep clean by eliminating dead skin cells and helps tackle blemish-prone skin with the aid of salicylic acid (a key ingredient in any spot fighting skincare if you ask me!). The scrub can also be used over the neck and chest area... much like any other product I guess, but this is ideal for that purpose especially is you are someone that gets blemishes not just on your face. Yes, that's right Foreo just got much more affordable and I'm so pleased they have because their silicone skincare gadgets really are the best and something to try out. This ultra portable (it's dinkier than a cotton pad!) facial cleansing device is amazing for uneven and oily skin as it exfoliates and pushes your cleanser deeper into the skin for a more thorough cleanse. I personally like to use this at night with my Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish and it leaves my skin feeling amazing, it can also used in the shower as it's fully waterproof. The only down side is that is does have a shelf life of approx. 100 uses, and if you're like me and haven't a clue how many times you've used it you start to get the fear of when is it going to die. Which would be a sad day but imagine if you are planning to take it on holiday, as it's ideal for that, I fear the worry of will it/won't it die would be too much! So there's that to consider. Now I will be honest and say it's been a long time since I've used Garnier skincare for anything other than Micellar water and it was more in my teens that I use to favour them but this moisturiser really does the trick of soaking up excess oil and shine and creating a mattified base for makeup to be applied onto or if you are going bare skinned. With a gel-like feel this glides over the skin and feels refreshing however the scent is pretty chemically but something I can definitely tolerate. I've also noticed when I use this I often skip a primer as it creates a good base for foundation and an extra layer of product just isn't needed. On me I find this does control my shine especially on my T-shine for most of the day but if you are super oily I'd say still keep blotting paper or a translucent powder to hand.
